“Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people.”

We live in a time during which knowledge and information is easier to get than ever (at least in this country), yet so many fail to seek or obtain it.  While it is not likely that one would lose his physical freedom, he must be on guard not to slip into mental, social, emotional or economic captivity due to lack of knowledge.
